Simon Rycroft to Feature in VR Art Exhibition

I am very excited to have had 3 of my pieces accepted to be a part of the 18th Circular ArtSpace Community Art Exhibition in Virtual Reality.

Circular ArtSpace is a Bristol-based art gallery dedicated to promoting and providing opportunities for under-represented and up-and-coming artists, including through innovative virtual reality exhibitions.

My work will be exhibited in a virtual gallery alongside art in many mediums including painting, photography, printmaking, video art, films, mixed media, illustration, and sculptures. Anyone will be able to view the exhibition using any mobile or desktop device.

The exhibition runs from 21st June to 18th July 2024.

Simon Rycroft to Feature in Collect Art, Book Edition: Volume 6

In another exciting milestone in my journey as a fledgling abstract artist, 4 of my pieces have been accepted to be featured in the next edition of the Collect Art book “101 contemporary artists and more…”.

101 contemporary artists and more...

Collect Art, founded in January 2020 in Tbilisi, Georgia, promotes and supports emerging and contemporary artists through exhibitions, private management, magazines, and books. The organisation aims to foster creative cross-cultural experiences and raise awareness in the art sector by representing both national and international artists. Their initiatives include seasonal and special editions of artistic publications and exhibitions, enriching the cultural landscape and providing a platform for diverse artistic expressions.

Volume 6 of the book will be available to buy via their website. I can’t wait to see my work in print alongside 100 other artists from around the world!

Sunspots Accepted for “A Blanket of Stars” Exhibition

Having only started creating digital art very recently, I really wasn’t expecting this!

My Sunspots piece has been selected to be a part of the upcoming “A Blanket of Stars” exhibition at the Fronteer Gallery in Sheffield!

The exhibition runs from 26th June to 11th July 2024. It will feature wall and sculptural art with the theme of the sky, stars, constellations, galaxies etc. Sunspots will be exhibited alongside work by emerging and established artists from all over the UK.

This will be the very first print of a very limited run and will be available for sale at the exhibition. In fact, the very first print of any of my artwork ever!

As a new artist, this is a hugely exciting and encouraging moment. Hopefully, a sign of things to come!
